I took professional lessons to learn some
important facts about rhyhtm, percussion, sound
dynamics, keys, harmonies and leads, chords and various
elements of music in general.

2001 |
Shortly after the time when Mirko
Milano's "Stopp
& Go" went on rotation, we set up the
Uptide Studio for our own internal projects. Mirko was
busy conquering the EU on the decks aswell as doing
officework for Deep Mission
and I took the chance to train my production skills. |

2006 |
Slideout Music Germany officially
registered under VAT registration number DE 242 853283.
Main business: The presentation and perfomance of music
and art, the usual jobs of an agency including the
look-after and general accommodation of booked
3rd-party-artists before and after the event. For Rave
The Place we booked:
Ben Eye,
Mike MH-4,
A*S*Y*S,
Gary D. + DJ Arne L II,
Bass-T,
Derb,
Pulsedriver,
DJ Dean and DJ Merlin,
Megara vs. DJ Lee.
Some changes this year, a new deal with Überdruck
Records and new productions:
Mike Phobos,
Adagio,
Cross Over,
Turntable Junky and most important: DJ Slideout -
Bloody Pimp which marks the highest peak of my
carreer so far. In summer 2006, close friends of mine
started putting on events at an old barn location, which
lead to small new dawn for hardtrance and hardstyle
sound in the area:
Hardbass was born.
I played various gigs in the UK and Wales such as
Atmosphere,
Oxford,
Ice Complex Salisbury and
Evolution Cardiff. By end of 2006, i decided to
start a shop for Vinyl, which adopted the name of
LaCargo. In short time, this brand conquered the
world's Nr 1 database: discogs.com. |

2007 |
Hard times! No own studio anymore. Hope comes
with a remix for "Into Deep" by
Technoboy.
Rave The Place at the peak of its success. With only
few contacts I had during the gigs I played, we yet
got fresh headliners booked, such as:
Kamui/Virus Inc,
Real Booty Babes,
DJ The Crow aka Überdruck,
Tommy Pulse (NL),
Dave Joy (CH),
Hennes & Cold and
Sam Punk.
"The slideout - sound" became kind of a new trademark. More exclusive
gigs followed:
Ruff Enuff Denmark,
Project Storm UK,
Bionic in Cardiff with The Prophet,
Surge Soundsytem UK and most important: the first
slideout
Australia tour including stops in
Sydney,
Melbourne and
Darwin. By end of 2007 a short trip to
Slovenia and a big doublebooking on
NYE in the UK. |

2008 |
LaCargo moving to a
new HQ, and a lot of work is waiting. Due to the big
amount of requests, a new concept emerged.
LaCargo Most Wanted was established as kind of a
public customer poll. This lead to a new limited edition
vinyl series, releasing strong and rare tunes for a
short time to a very small amount of customers. The
project was expensive, as the final product was

DM LTD 018
The original pressings of these tunes
where out of print, the labels all closed down or out of
active business and the artist loved to give their
licence against a fair fee, a good deal for all.
My own productions got stuck a bit, but in late 2008 the
UK label Germantrance.com released my latest tune "LIFE
IN X" which was quite a bit different from my usual
sound, yet one of the biggest sellers and UK free party
hits, dominating #1 the
GT.com alltime sales charts.
The sound in europe changed a lot by this time, and the
entire market did. With the world economic crash in
2008, the entire dance scene split up and moved into several
directions such as pure trance (adult trance),
dutch hardstyle, so called "nu-style" (and dutch
hardcore) leaving less space for freelancers and non
adopted artists outside the major music industry. |

2009 |
Busy with the LaCargo recordstore and
some gigs at the usual suspect promoters in the UK and
germany. The hardbass crew returns for a short while to
announce the hosting of a new
underground venue northern germany:
Hardbass - We Are Back! |
